Job Description

Your career :

This role offers tremendous potential for growth, not just technically but also in terms of leadership, communication, and organizational visibility. If you're passionate about cybersecurity, incident response, and technical support, it provides a solid foundation for roles in management, strategy, or becoming a subject matter expert with international recognition.

Your Impact :

  • Provide Technical Support to customers & partners by phone, e-mail and in person
  • Work directly with ETAC, GSRT, ISR, PanAV, DevOps and Software Engineering to get customer problems resolved
  • Have thorough understanding of the Software release and bug cycles
  • Able to isolate root cause for product defects and Reproduce customer issues in the lab
  • Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors- exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise- regularly participate in technical discussions with cross-functional teams
  • Publish technical support bulletins, provide technical content reviews for Knowledge Base, and contribute to customer-facing forums and other technical documentation.
  • Assume technical escalation responsibility for the following threat-related issues:
  • Respond to Wildfire verdict and PanAV issues.
  • Internet Security Research Team issues (PAN-DB, IP Block List, Suspicious DNS)
  • Platform related bugs
  • Escalations driven by case age
  • Sales Escalations (HOT/At-Risk/Political in nature)
  • Breach or Incident response-related escalations.
  • Able to conduct multi-vendor troubleshooting
  • Develop into Threat Subject Matter Expert
  • Has visibility across the entire organization; leadership is recognized across the organization.
  • Assist in developing and documenting threat-specific escalation processes.
  • Perform due diligence concerning Malware or Exploit analysis
  • Develop and deliver threat-specific training materials to the TAC organization.
  • Take part in the Follow the Sun on-call shift rotation on weekends and public holidays if required.
  • Monitor Threat Queue
  • Provide General Threat Consultation to other team members.
  • Threat Lab Support, Development, and Replication assistance
  • Technical Case Audits - Identify educational opportunities
  • Active call assistance

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity
  • Strong communication skills with ability to effectively convey complex technical issues to all stakeholders
  • In-depth understanding of networking concepts and security protocols (e.g., IPSEC, SSL-VPN, NAT, GRE)
  • Experience with multi-vendor networking devices and security platforms
  • Ability to independently debug complex and unique threat prevention issues
  • Experience with Incident Response models is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GIAC Security Expert (GSE)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and threat analysis
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security solutions
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA) and their application in cybersecurity
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior team members
  • Experience with cloud security principles and technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent documentation skills for creating technical reports and presentations
