We are seeking an experienced compliance professional to deliver effective Compliance and Controls Assurance programs for the Claims business unit within our RAC Insurance business. 

 

You’ll collaborate with Claims leaders and team members, Insurance Risk & Compliance as well as other key business units to contribute to achieving an aligned and effective risk culture. 

 

What you’ll be doing? 

  • Driving risk culture initiatives within Claims in collaboration with the Insurance Risk and Compliance team  

  • Supporting the Claims Management Team with implementing findings of risk reviews, including Quarterly Risk Review (QRR), Assurance Reviews and Audits 

  • Providing coaching to Claims leaders and delivering training content to upskill team members in meeting regulatory and compliance requirements  

  • Undertaking operational effectiveness testing of Claims controls 

  • Addressing identified control gaps and weaknesses via Issues Management, control design and implementation 

  • Conducting QA over incident responses performed by Claims  

  • Drafting and review of compliance policies and procedures, process guides 

  • Liaise with Regulatory bodies for ad hoc requests  

 

About you: 

  • Compliance experience with operational aspects of financial services required and insurance industry experience highly valued  

  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks and controls assurance, control design and implementation 

  • Sound knowledge of regulatory obligations applicable to general insurers in Australia 

  • Ability to take initiative and generate ideas resulting in continuous improvement 

  • Ability to collaborate, communicate and influence with a variety of stakeholders, internally and externally 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Law or a related field desirable  

  • ASIC Tier 2 PS-146 qualified desirable, other industry body accreditations desirable
