  • Develop scalable integrations and scripts (e.g., via Python or PowerShell) to reduce manual security operations effort.
  • Operationalize first-response automation such as alert enrichment, user notification, system isolation, and entitlement revocation.
  • Leverage ServiceNow Flow Designer or APIs to automate common identity and access management tasks.
  • Collaborate with security engineering and platform teams to identify automation candidates and implement controls safely.
  • Implement observability into automation (logging, alerting, telemetry) to ensure resilience and traceability.
  • Follow secure coding and CI/CD practices; participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment pipelines.
  • Create kill switches, safety nets, and approval layers to ensure automation behaves safely in production environments.
  • Contribute to documentation and knowledge-sharing to enable reuse and support scale-out.
  • Establish, modify and maintain data structures and associated components.
  • Create and deliver standard reports in accordance with stakeholder needs and conforming to agreed standards.
  • Work within a matrix organizational structure, reporting to both the functional manager and the project manager.
  • Participate in project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with both functional and project goals.

What should you have

  • Experience integrating across cloud and on-prem environments; comfort with Azure preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional engineering settings.
  • Passion for improving operational efficiency, reducing toil, and solving complex security challenges through automation.
