Our mission is to build advanced and secure engineering solutions that enable other security teams to detect and deter cyber threats.

The Paranoids Engineering DevOps group is a highly collaborative and agile team of Dev/Ops engineers. This team is hyper-focused on building and deploying centralized tools/services to power Yahoo's cyber security teams in detecting and deterring cyber attacks against our corporate data and millions of members.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and manage systems running in cloud environments

• Assist in designing & implementing centralized tools to detect & avert cyber threats

• Drive automation across all system engineering functions 

• Participate in software performance analysis, debugging, and system tuning

• Build metrics-driven dashboards to detect and resolve production issues proactively

• Stay technically curious, research, and implement new technology solutions

Required Skills/Experience

• Actively pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field

• Proficiency in one of the following programming languages: Python, Golang, Java, C++

• Ability to solve complex problems through research, analysis, and feedback

• Good knowledge of software tools, processes, and cloud technologies

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

The compensation for this position ranges from $24-$52/hr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.Our comprehensive benefits include a great 401k, company holidays, and wellness programs.
