About the Team and Our Scope
At L&H Solutions, we build and commercialize cloud-native (Azure-based) SaaS/PaaS solutions for Swiss Re clients. With a portfolio of over 6 products, including well-established ones like Magnum and innovative products like UW Ease, we operate as a software house within Swiss Re.
Our team consists of more than 150 technical colleagues with multidisciplinary skills, spread across multiple countries, working on multi-regional, highly available solutions. Our cloud infrastructure ensures SLA and scalability for our clients, while our CI/CD and deployment processes enable all developers, QA, DevOps, etc., to perform their daily jobs efficiently and support our release lifecycle.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer III to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Azure administration, PowerShell scripting, Kubernetes, Terraform, Azure DevOps, and Helm. The DevOps Engineer III will oversee Azure infrastructure, implement DevOps practices, and ensure smooth operations of our systems in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Administer Azure services including networking, storage, compute, policies, monitoring, security, identity, functions, and cost optimization.
- Write PowerShell scripts for automation and management tasks.
- Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration.
- Create Dockerfiles to build container images.
- Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) deployments.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and release management using Azure DevOps.
- Manage Helm charts for deploying applications to Kubernetes clusters.
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Work collaboratively with development and operations teams in Agile environments.
- Manage backlog and prioritize tasks for the DevOps team.
About You
We are looking for a passionate and experienced DevOps Engineer III with a background in Azure cloud, and proficient hands-on knowledge in AKS, Terraform, and DevOps practices. You should be a collaborative person, ready to drive the successful delivery of our innovative products in a large tech ecosystem.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- Azure: Minimum 7 years of experience in Azure administration and services.
- Terraform: Minimum 3 years of experience in using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
- PowerShell: Minimum 2 years of experience in writing PowerShell scripts for automation and management tasks.
- Kubernetes: Minimum 3 years of experience in managing Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration.
- Azure DevOps/Any CI/CD: Minimum 4 years of experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps.
- Must Have:
- Proficiency in Azure administration and services.
- Strong experience with PowerShell scripting.
- In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and release management.
- Experience managing teams of DevOps engineers.
- Working experience in Agile environments.
- Ability to manage backlog effectively.
- Good to Have:
- Understanding of data fundamentals.
- Experience with Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL.
- Experience with APIM (Azure API Management).
- Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Okta for identity and access management.
- Knowledge of Cloudflare for web performance and security.
- Relevant certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-204, AZ-400, Terraform and CKA.
