Job Description

MAXISIQ is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support mission critical operations in Lorton, VA with travel to Huntsville, AL and Aberdeen, MD. This is a full-time role. Position available upon award in early August 2025. 

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing support to the CMFF program to achieve IATT and prepare for ATO assessment.
• Assisting in the authoring of RMF body of evidence plans and documents required for IATT and ATO.
• Advising on how to implement NIST 800-53 security controls.
• Assisting in preparation of IATT submission package.
• Assisting in the completion of key artifacts for assessment including the System Security Plan, Security Controls Traceability Matrix and POA&M.
• Participating in IATT and ATO assessment.
• Be responsible for reviewing and updating Risk Management Framework documentation.
• Creating and maintaining POA&Ms.
• Assessing system compliance against security requirements.
• Working with engineers to implement security controls.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in cybersecurity

Clearance

• Secret

Experience

• Subject Matter expertise in NIST 800-53 and Risk Management Framework.
• 8-10 years in cybersecurity
• 3-5 years as ISSO
