Application Operations Team Lead

Job Description

NetImpact Strategies is seeking two experienced Application Operations Team Leads to oversee infrastructure and application operations across a large-scale federal IT environment supporting an extensive and complex application portfolio. Each lead will direct a team of DevOps Engineers and Senior DevOps Engineers managing monitoring, incident response, vulnerability remediation, cost analysis, and operational performance for hundreds of mission-critical systems deployed across cloud and hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day 24/7 operations supporting a vast portfolio of applications and infrastructure components.
• Oversee CI/CD pipeline and runtime environment support services for over a communicaty of over 800 developers
• Oversee production release operations, supporting dozens to hundreds of producton deployments each month
• Oversee monitoring and management activities including infrastructure health, application uptime, and production operations support.
• Deliver service-level reporting, incident and problem management, CMDB updates, and vulnerability management across systems.
• Collaborate across cross-functional engineering, platform, and delivery teams to ensure operational excellence at scale.
• Ensure compliance with SLAs, cost targets, and SRE performance benchmarks.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure or application operations roles, including 2+ years in a leadership capacity.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Additional experience in lieu of degree will be considered)
• Proven success operating and supporting large, distributed application portfolios with high volumes of change and service demands.
• Experience with SRE frameworks, service level indicators (SLIs), and enterprise operations tooling.
• Deep understanding of monitoring practices, ITIL processes, and public cloud operations (AWS, Azure).
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on team building, conflict resolution, and customer satisfaction.
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
