About the role

This position is for a Systems Administrator in Boulder, CO. You will be working closely with a talented team to manage, secure and optimize the IT infrastructure for our DoD clients. You will also have the opportunity to grow and sharpen your skills with other talented members of Centil. 

As a Sys Admin at Centil, your expertise and commitment to excellence will be vital in maintaining the reliability and performance of critical systems that support the nation's defense.

Your primary work location will be Broomfield, with occasional travel to Boulder. You are expected to be in the office 3-4 days/week, with the opportunity to work the other day/days remotely.

What you'll do

• Provide Linux, RHEL system administration support for the Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution (FORGE) Mission Data Processing Application Framework (MDPAF).
• Maintain the Framework by performing regular updates, patching, and user management.
• Monitor and correct system performance issues.
• Participate in software version testing and evaluation and provide feedback to the development and test/ops community. Assist Configuration Management in software upgrades and changes.
• Shepherd application onboarding and testing on the Framework by applying appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools.
• Correct Framework errors, recommend system improvements, prepare operating procedures/instructions and compile documentation of program development.
• Analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls.

Required Qualifications

• DoD Secret clearance minimum
• B.S. in Computer Science or related technical field (or equivalent training/job experience is also acceptable)
• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, preferably in supporting DoD or government customers.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and network administration.
• Familiarity with DoD security regulations and frameworks, such as RMF (Risk Management Framework).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware), cloud services (AWS), and containers (Kubernetes/Docker).
• Familiarity with ELK/Elastic Stack and Ansible.
• Understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.

Preferred/Bonus Qualifications

• Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Expected Salary Range

Depending on experience and skillset, most candidates will earn between $150,000 and $190,000 per year.
