The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking an Enterprise Database Lead who is charged with overseeing and managing the enterprise-level database systems supporting USSTRATCOM. The role involves ensuring the integrity, security and availability of critical data across multiple platforms while leading a team of database administrators and engineers.

The work location for this position is Omaha, Nebraska. The position is contingent upon award of the United States Strategic Command SCITLS contract.

Responsibilities:

Enterprise Database Administrator (DBA) Lead, SME:

  • Serves as DBA team lead and has domain and expert technical knowledge

  • Directs and controls activities to ensure requirements are met and interfaces with senior management

  • Provides comprehensive Enterprise Database Management and Administration in support of USSTRATCOM operations

  • Provides support of database design, implementation, maintenance, optimization, and security across multiple environments (e.g., development, testing, production)

  • Ensures availability, reliability, and scalability to meet the operational demands and evolving needs of the organization

  • Manages new or updated database technologies and all platform databases (currently Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server)

  • Develops, builds, and deploys database schemas and populates development, test, and production databases on schedule

  • Completes and retains database backups

  • Provides industry standards of service, including the performance of preventive maintenance, inspections, and services designed to maximize the reliability of infrastructure resources

  • Troubleshoots issues with existing or development of database systems and resolves issues

  • May supervise others

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Top Secret security clearance with SCI Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in database administration, with a focus on enterprise-level systems

  • Required 8140 Cert within 6 months of start date: 421 - Advanced; CASP+ or CCNP Security or CISA or CISSP or CISSP-ISSAP or CISSP-ISSEP; OR Applicable degree ABET accredited/CAE designated; OR Training

AND

  • Additional Cert:  One or more Oracle certifications

  • Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and familiarity with cloud-based database solutions. Strong understanding of database security, backup, and recovery processes.

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$90,700 - $199,600
