IT Security Analyst II (Troubleshoot/Network Security/Alto Firewalls/Design Prisma/ Security Architecture understanding)

About the team

We are seeking an IT Security analyst with the passion and experience necessary to deploy, administer and maintain Palo alto next generation firewalls across the FIS environment. The successful candidate will work directly with internal security teams at FIS.

What you will be doing

As a member of the Network Security team, you will be responsible for implementing and managing NGFW, designing Prisma SASE, developing security architecture, ensuring network security, managing network devices, understanding network protocols, and integrating security devices to protect and optimize our network infrastructure.

We are looking for a Network Security Engineer with over 3 plus years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing core data center security and designing security visibility architecture around network devices. Key responsibilities include:

Requirement and Technical Skills:

• Implementing and managing NGFW: Configuring and maintaining Next-Generation Firewalls to protect network infrastructure, including setting up security policies, threat prevention, and VPNs.
• Prisma SASE: Designing and integrating Secure Access Service Edge and Software-Defined Wide Area Network solutions to enhance network security and performance. This includes configuring secure access, optimizing traffic flow, and ensuring compliance with security standards.
• Security Architecture Understanding: Developing and maintaining comprehensive security frameworks and strategies to safeguard data and network assets. This involves risk assessment, vulnerability management, and incident response planning.
• Network Security: Strong understanding of network security principles, including IPS/IDS, threat prevention, and secure access
• Networking Expertise: Managing and troubleshooting network devices such as routers, switches, and load balancers. Ensuring seamless integration and security across the infrastructure, including VLANs, IP addressing, and routing protocols.
• Network Protocols: Good understanding on network concepts, TCP/IP, Routing Protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP, IGRP and EIGRP), PPP, PPTP and L2TP and knowledge of IPv4 & IPv6 addressing and Subnetting.
• Security Device Integration: Implementing and integrating security devices such as IDS/IPS, DLP, and SIEM systems to enhance visibility and protection. Designing security visibility architecture to monitor and analyze network traffic for potential threats.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork abilities.
• Flexible approach to working hours – after hours support during delivery.
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible) for network security tasks (Added Advantage).
• Familiarity with cloud security practices and technologies.

Experience:

• Hands-On Experience: Practical experience in deploying and managing Palo Alto firewalls in real-world environments.
• Project Management: Experience in managing network security projects and adhering to timelines.

Preferred Qualification:

• Full Time University Degree - BTECH, BE or MS / MCA in Information Security, Computer Science, or Information Technology

Certifications:

• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
• Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE)
• Prisma Access SASE Security: Design and Operation
• Professional (CCNP) Security
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• CompTIA Security+ .
