All Source Analyst - Mid

This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance.

 

Cherokee Insights is seeking an experienced All Source Analyst Mid to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for utilizing research tools, including open-source research, Government and commercial databases, to support Insider Threat analysis. Your ability to communicate complex information, analyze trends, and collaborate with other intelligence community (IC) members will be crucial to your success. You will also play a key role in developing insightful and comprehensive products for defense intelligence and leading teams in researching multifaceted problems.

All Source Analyst - Mid Responsibilities Include: 

  • Uses research tools to include open-source research, as well as Government and commercial databases in support of Insider Threat analysis. 
  • Communicates understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and / or technically advanced. 
  • Structures analysis based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines. 
  • Collaborates and works with other IC members on Information Sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution. 
  • Develops concise, insightful. and comprehensive products for defense intelligence.
  • Leads teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems. 
  • Provides guidance in selecting, designing, and applying analytic methodologies. 
  • Uses argument evaluation and validated analytic methodologies to challenge differing perspectives. 
  • Uses logic to evaluate and synthesize multiple sources of information.
  • Interprets analysis for its meaning, importance, and implications. 
  • Defends analytic judgements with sound, logical conclusions and adapt analytic judgments when presented with new information, evolving conditions, or unexpected developments. 
  • Produces timely, logical, and concise analytic reports, documents, assessments, studies, and briefing materials in formats including Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), electronic/soft copy matrices and/or web-enabled formats. 
  • Communicates complex issues clearly in a concise and organized manner both verbally and non-verbally, with strong grammar skills. 
  • Develops structured research including, but not limited to, obtaining, evaluating, organizing, and maintaining information within security and data protocols. 
  • Recognizes nuances and resolves contradictions and inconsistencies in information. 
  • Evaluates collected intelligence reporting, engaging with collection managers, and developing collection requirements. 
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

All Source Analyst - Mid Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: 

  • Active TS/SCI clearance required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study and 8 years of relevant experience with at least a portion of that experience within the last 2 years. 
  • Experience working at Federal installations.
  • Skilled at providing support and expertise to a Government or Contractor Insider Threat program. 
  • Skilled in Personnel Security, Threat Assessment/Threat Management or Counterintelligence supporting the Insider Threat mission. 
  • Skilled in concepts, principles, practices, and techniques associated with threat assessment/threat management, counterintelligence and law enforcement and knowledge of the organization of the security and counterintelligence communities, including their capabilities and jurisdictions and significant experience with collaboration and information sharing within and across the Federal Government, Intelligence, Counterintelligence, Law Enforcement and Security communities. 
  • Demonstrated experience with Insider Threat risk assessments and presenting those findings to a variety of audiences, to include senior decision makers. 
  • Written and oral communication skills including demonstrated negotiation/collaboration skills required as documented through a variety of experiences briefing and presenting issues at the General/Flag Officer/SES level. 
  • Knowledge and demonstrated use of research and analytical techniques as applied to difficult and complex assignments in security, law enforcement, and counterintelligence analysis.
  • Knowledgeable of and demonstrates ability to apply Intelligence Community (IC) and DoD classification guidelines and procedures. 
  • Knowledge using complex analytic methodologies, such as structured analytic techniques or alternative approaches, to examine biases, assumptions, and theories to eliminate uncertainty, strengthen analytic arguments, and mitigate surprise. Structured analytic techniques include, but not limited to, Analysis of Competing Hypotheses, Devil's Advocacy, High-Impact/ Low-Impact Analysis, Red Team Analysis and Alternative Futures Analysis.
  • Understanding of intelligence collection capabilities and limitations, to include but not limited to, technical sensors/ platforms and human intelligence sources related to the labor category. 
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools.  
  • Knowledge and training in structured professional judgement tools such as WAVR-21 is preferred. 
  • Ability to work semi-independently with oversight and direction. 
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
