In this role, you will be a key contributor in securing and optimizing multi-cloud environments across AWS and Azure. You’ll work closely with infrastructure and DevOps teams to design and implement cloud security architecture, embed security into CI/CD pipelines, and ensure compliance with industry frameworks. This is a high-impact role with long-term potential, and ideal for candidates with a strong grasp of cloud-native technologies and a proactive mindset toward modern threat landscapes.
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Philadelphia, with 1–2 days a week onsite. The salary range is $110K to $135K, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud security architecture across AWS and Azure platforms.
- Assess cloud environments for misconfigurations and vulnerabilities using tools like AWS Config, Azure Security Center, or Prisma Cloud.
- Work with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).
- Define and enforce cloud security policies, controls, and standards aligned with compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS.
- Evaluate and configure IAM policies, role-based access controls (RBAC), and network security rules for multi-cloud systems.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents in cloud environments using SIEM/SOAR tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel).
- Conduct threat modeling and security risk assessments for cloud-native applications.
Requirements
- 5+ years of cloud security experience, ideally with exposure to both AWS and Azure.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, security best practices, and modern deployment pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, or equivalents is a plus.
- Comfortable navigating enterprise security challenges including identity/access management, encryption, logging, and container security.
- Able to work independently while collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.
- Professional certifications (nice to have): CCSP, CISSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate.
