The Product Security Office (PSO) ensures product security risks for BD’s software-based products and solutions are handled well over the lifecycle as they make a difference for our patients and customers. The Senior Program Manager, Product Security will be responsible for providing leadership in evolving BD’s product security program, processes and culture in alignment with customer needs and regulatory considerations. This role reports to the Associate Director, Product Security and requires an individual that will skillfully oversee and coordinate strategic programs and act as a key collaborator and leader with vision with partners in the Product Security Office (PSO), Business Units, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing and BD Cyber teams to drive the execution of key initiatives to enhance product security maturity and governance.
Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resources and breakthroughs, ensuring all activities align with project strategy and goals and monitors to mitigate risks and keep the product security initiatives on track
Collaborate with business units and functional collaborators to integrate and advance product security concepts into business lifecycle processes
Drive the adoption of the BD product security framework & processes, ensuring alignment with BD’s business objectives, market trends, technology advancements and regulatory changes
Prepare and present regular reports and updates to executive leadership and relevant partners on the status of product security initiatives
Design and develop comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of the product security initiatives and partners
Develop communities of practice and communication materials to drive engagement and stronger product security culture
Champion and lead the adoption of technology platforms, automation, and new ways of working to enable leverage across business units
Foster a collaborative and communicative environment
May perform other duties as required
Qualifications:
Entrepreneurial approach and capacity to work autonomously and efficiently in a productive environment.
Consistent record of leading and developing high-performing security programs with a focus on process optimization / continuous improvement and product development preferred.
Project or program management experience in medical device, pharmaceutical or regulated industry.
Experience in product security or related cyber security certifications preferred
Requirements
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required. Ideal candidate will have a degree in computer science, project management or technical discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred
A minimum of 8 years of experience in Program/Project Management or proven ability to operate cross functionally to complete Business Unit-wide initiatives required
Medical Device, Pharma or equivalent regulated industry experience required
Working experience applying project management tools (IE: Smartsheet, JIRA, Microsoft Project or equivalent tool)
PMP certification or equivalent project management certification highly preferred
Experience in product security or related cyber security, certifications preferred
