Job Description
Provide support in the management of safety, health and environmental plans and programs within the area of responsibility in order to generate a culture of prevention and involvement of all personnel, including external personnel, in order to comply with corporate standards and legal requirements through a process of continuous improvement.
- Supervise activities of Property Security personnel.
- Implement and ensure compliance with response actions.
- Coordinate functions and activities of emergency brigades.
- Provide support in the coordination of specific safety programs to improve the Safety Culture at the site.
- To comply with the Action Plans derived from: Accidents, Internal Audits, Unsafe Conditions, CMSH Walkthroughs, External Audits, Corporate Audits, Government Authorities Inspections etc.
- Develop and Review Job Risk Analyses to mitigate risks and accidents.
- Manage external Risk work permits of contractor / internal personnel.
- Manage the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
- Actively participate in the implementation of the LOTO Program and special work permits.
- Coordinate the investigation of accidents and incidents in the assigned area of responsibility, for the development of preventive and / or corrective actions in order to avoid recurrence.
- Guide employees in the detection of unsafe acts and conditions.
- Provide training in ESH matters.
- To continuously promote actions aimed at improving the plant's Safety, Health and Environment culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree: Industrial, Mechanical - Electrical, Chemical engineering or similar
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a safety engineer in the automotive industry.
- ESH Regulations
- Project Management Administration (Desirable)
- Local (state & federal) legal requirements for Safety, Health and Environment
- Internal Auditor Certification in ISO14001,ISO45001:2018
- Advanced English
