About the Role:
The Security and Transport Lead is accountable for overseeing and managing all facets of security and transportation services within the corporate real estate and services environment. This critical role ensures the safety and security of employees, visitors, and assets, while also facilitating the smooth operation of transportation systems. The Lead is responsible for ensuring departmental adherence to the organization’s operational health and safety, environmental health and safety, physical security, and electronic security policies and standards.
Additionally, the Lead manages security and transport staff, contractors, and vendors, coordinates with other departments and external stakeholders, and handles the day-to-day operations of security and transportation at the assigned location. The Lead also serves as the location Safety & Security Officer (LSSO) and will be the primary point of contact for business stakeholders.
The ideal candidate should possess a robust background in security & risk management and transportation logistics, especially in an organisation with 1000+ employees. They should demonstrate a solution-oriented mindset, strong customer centricity, and adept relationship management skills. Furthermore, they must be capable of challenging and influencing business leaders while fostering a cooperative and collaborative approach.
Security Operations Management
- Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures to protect physical assets, personnel, and information.
- Represent CRES in the Business Continuity programs.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services to ensure effective response plans.
- Ensure adherence to organizational regulations and security standards.
- Recommend and implement continuous quality improvement practices and industry best practices.
- Provide superior customer service and minimize disruptions through effective communication and scheduling.
- Manage and oversee outsourced security services, addressing any performance issues and implementing value-added initiatives.
- Collaborate with landlord facility management and security teams for seamless operational support.
- Regularly review operations to reduce costs and enhance operational standards.
- Oversee Access Control Systems, CCTV Surveillance Systems, and Fire Safety Systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and achieve targets outlined in Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations for fire safety, health and safety standards.
- Manage the Background Verification documentation for the relevant areas.
- Manage MSME vendor payments of vendors, if any as per the MSME Act.
- Organise events for security related areas. Prepare dashboards for budget, operations etc
Transport Operations Management
- Plan and oversee corporate transportation services, including shuttle operations, parking facilities, and vehicle fleet management.
- Manage outsourced transportation services, addressing any performance issues and implementing enhancements.
- Overseeing operations to achieve optimized transportation routes and schedules to improve efficiency and reduced costs.
- Coordinate with external transportation providers and vendors to ensure service quality and contract compliance.
- Address and resolve transportation-related issues and complaints from employees and stakeholders.
- Ensure safe practices in transportation operations and report any operational challenges to the business.
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and central regulations related to employee transportation.
- Initiate sustainable practices in Transport operations.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on security and transport operations.
Risk & Incident Management
- Perform routine audits and risk assessments for security and transport operations to identify vulnerabilities and apply mitigation measures.
- Support and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans in accordance with management guidelines.
- Implement and maintain escalation and incident reporting procedures (ICT).
- Develop and execute response plans for security incidents, including emergencies, breaches, and disruptions.
- Investigate security incidents and transportation-related accidents, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
Business Stakeholder Management
- Actively engage with stakeholders to ensure that the expectations of on-site business leaders are met.
- Build and cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for CRES security and transport operations.
- Foster active communication and share information and best practices with Regional Service Representatives (RSR), Global Service Experts (GSE), Corporate security, and Business Continuity Management (BCM) teams.
Finance Management
- Proactively ensure that financial operations meet targets and control requirements.
- Monitor and manage budgets and expenses related to security and transportation.
- Ensure adherence to financial processes, submission deadlines, and budget adjustments within the division.
- Track budget versus actuals, manage invoices, and follow up to ensure timely submission and payment.
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Ensure vendor procurement processes adhere to organizational sourcing and procurement policies.
- Oversee vendor management to ensure services are delivered on time and within budget.
- Verify that vendors meet service levels and turnaround times (SLAs and TATs). Develop and manage a consequence management process to address any service deficiencies.
- Ensure periodic meetings with external partners and maintain the MoMs.
Contracts Management
- Plan and oversee all security and transport contracts for the site, ensuring they are delivered professionally and cost-effectively.
- Monitor contract expiration dates closely and initiate re-procurement processes as necessary.
- Continuously evaluate contracts to ensure they provide the best value to the client.

About You:
Ideal Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in security management or a related field; a Master's degree or advanced certifications are advantageous.
- 7-10 years of experience in security and transportation management, preferably within the ITES and BFSI sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in overseeing security teams and large-scale transportation operations.
- Proven expertise in crisis management and incident response. Exceptional problem-solving, strategic thinking and crisis management skills.
- Proficiency with relevant software and tools for managing security and transportation.
- Experience working in diverse environments across different geographies.
- Knowledge of local occupational health and safety regulations.
- Familiarity with vendor management for specialized services.
- Proven ability to understand and interpret commercial contracts. Strong skills in budget management and financial analysis.
