Responsibilities of a Fault Detection Engineer would include:
- Support manufacturing operations in a high-volume manufacturing 300mm wafer Fab running Analog Technologies
- Develop and implement improved equipment fault detection (FDC) models to prevent excursions and scrap events
- Identify systemic problems in either process or equipment related sources and communicating findings to the engineering staff in a continuous manner
- Support the manufacturing ramp with execution of FDC models that accelerate equipment/process startup and process experiments
- Understand customer demands and the impact of actions
- Project management that results in the timely execution of actions that resolve issues
- Participate in data analysis and problem resolution
- Use SPC, DOE and other advanced methods to analyze data
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering field
- 3 years of relevant experience in Semiconductor Manufacturing
- Strong foundation in statistical process controls
- Experience with FDC software (eg. TIMS, Artist, E3, Fabguard)
- Experience with scripting languages, preferably Python and/or SQL
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
- Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
- Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
