About the job :

United Nations is seeking a Cybersecurity PKI Systems Administrator to support the implementation, maintenance, and evolution of Web Application Security, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and cryptographic solutions. This role is crucial to securing applications and data across a hybrid enterprise environment, working in close collaboration with the Cybersecurity Services Division and client organizations.

You will manage a variety of cloud-native tools and play an integral part in securing access, managing certificates, and enforcing Zero Trust principles to protect UNICC’s digital assets and those of its partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and monitor Cloudflare security services: WAF, DDoS protection, Zero Trust Access, Bot Management, API Shield, Rate Limiting, DNS.

• Support SSO integrations and identity federation using protocols such as SAML, OIDC, and OAuth.

• Administer PKI environments including Microsoft CA, EJBCA, Dogtag, and Cloudflare SSL.

• Automate the lifecycle of digital certificates (issuance, renewal, revocation, auditing) via scripting (PowerShell, Python) and orchestration tools.

• Manage DNS and proxy services, including split-horizon setups and DNSSEC.

• Enforce Zero Trust access policies and assist in service/user onboarding/offboarding.

• Collaborate on incident response activities for web-based threats and authentication issues.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and operational baselines.

• Support compliance and audit efforts through technical documentation and insights.

• Contribute to internal training and awareness efforts on secure practices.

• Perform other relevant cybersecurity-related tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

Technical Experience (Essential)

• Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on PKI and cryptographic systems.

• Hands-on experience with Cloudflare security tools: WAF, Zero Trust, DDoS protection, etc.

• Strong background in certificate-based solutions, including automation.

• In-depth knowledge of federation protocols (SAML, OAuth2, OIDC) and SSO implementations.

• Experience with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) systems.

• Proficient in PowerShell and/or Python scripting.

• Solid understanding of Zero Trust Architecture.

• Excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work autonomously, with proactive reporting and minimal supervision.

Technical Experience (Desirable)

• Familiarity with incident response for authentication and web-based attacks.

• Knowledge of tools like ServiceNow, CyberArk, KeyFactor, Thales/nCipher.

• Experience with DNS security standards: DNSSEC, DMARC.

• Practical exposure to hybrid cloud environments and layered identity/security models.
