In cloud security at PwC, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and elevating the security posture across our clients’ cloud environments, covering IaaS, PaaS and SaaS. Your work will involve having a deep technical knowledge of cloud security and you will work with one or more Cloud Service Providers (CSP) to implement security protocols, monitor for potential security breaches, conduct risk assessments and vulnerability testing of cloud-based systems, and stay up to date with the latest security threats and trends in cloud technology.

Job Description & Summary:

A career in Information Technology, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to support our core business functions by deploying applications that enable our people to work more efficiently and deliver the highest levels of service to our clients. You’ll focus on managing the design and implementation of technology infrastructure within PwC, developing and enhancing both client and internal facing applications within PwC, and providing technology tools that help create a competitive advantage for the Firm to drive strategic business growth.

Responsibilities:

• •      Design and implement Azure Private Networking solutions (Vnets, Subnet and IP addressing) to ensure secure and efficient communication within the cloud environment.
• Manage Network Security Groups (NSGs) and Application Security Groups (ASGs) for

granular network security.

• Define and manage User-Defined Routes (UDRs) for tailored network routing.
• Implement Service Endpoints and Private Endpoints to establish secure connectivity.
• Seamlessly integrate PaaS services with VNets to enhance security and performance.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to efficiently provision, scale, and

manage diverse PaaS services and networking components.

• Manage and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and databases.
• Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate the deployment and management of cloud resources.
• Monitor and optimize cloud performance, ensuring cost-efficiency and scalability.
• Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.
• Maintain documentation of cloud architecture, processes, and procedures.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud-related issues.
• Stay current with the latest Azure services, features, and best practices.
• Knowledge on monitoring tools like Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, and Azure Monitor
• Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently, collaborating with cross-functional

teams and resources.

• Demonstrated proficiency in project management, encompassing both traditional and

agile methodologies across the entire technology development life cycle.

• General familiarity with ITIL processes including incident, change management,

configuration management, and problem management.

Mandatory skill sets:

• Strong knowledge of Azure Private Networking, including Virtual Network (VNet), VPN Gateway, and ExpressRoute.
• Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) deployment and management.
• Experience with Azure Active Directory, Azure Security Center, and Azure Monitor.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Additional certifications (e.g., Cloud architect on AWS, Google Cloud Professional are a plus.

Preferred skill sets:

• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of networking principles and protocols.
