More about the role

This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Intern Customer Security Requirements & Compliance in Eindhoven with Signify.

Connected lighting products are not only devices, but systems and services, hence data. As such, they are exposed to threats coming from cyber space with greater impact. One of the most critical prerequisites for our success is ensuring the security of our offerings and related information end-to-end. The speed of innovation has increased drastically, and the scope of product security has been expanded: from electronics components (hardware) only, to software, communications and information technology, engineering systems and data analytics. The Product Security Center of Excellence is a team of seasoned security experts that is responsible for the security of our professional connected lighting systems.

Many of our customers are requiring security assessments and questionnaires to be filled in on a regular basis. These questionnaires are mostly based on existing frameworks, but are customized per customer, making it difficult to reply to each request in time.  Questions can be general, referring to Signify's IT, to our Product Operations, our Cloud Operations or to the security measures of specific products. We started an initiative to use AI for answering these, but the input documentation has to be reviewed and completed.

We are looking for someone that can help us improve these processes and workflows, set up our security FAQ and check/complete the relevant input documentation.

Some tasks are:

  • Investigate what standard questionnaires are used by our different customers and how we can map these to a unified set of security questions
  • Gather the correct answers for all these questions, differentiated by product where needed
  • Work with the teams to implement the security bot and test it
  • Help set up a central Security Compliance Office to answer all questionnaires
  • Define a way of working for all employees that receive these questionnaires
  • Communicate the new way of working

What we are looking for:

  • You have a relevant background in Cybersecurity, Business & IT, or Business Management studies (Bachelor or Master student).
  • You are a proactive, confident student with an eye for detail and accuracy and you are a good communicator with excellent oral and written English skills.
  • You learn fast and have the ability to manage on your own.
  • You can work collaboratively on multiple projects within an international team.
  • You are based in the Netherlands, available for at least 4 months.

Your Team

You will report directly to the Product Security Lead and work closely together with the Product Security Architects, Specialists and Engineers in the Product Security of Excellence of Professional Business, as well as Corporate Security and the R&D and market organizations.

Your Location

The main working location will be High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, but you will also be working remotely.

Everything we’ll do for you

You can grow a lasting career here. We’ll encourage you, support you, and challenge you. We’ll help you learn and progress in a way that’s right for you, with coaching and mentoring along the way. We’ll listen to you too, because we see and value every one of our 30,000+ people.

We believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace fosters creativity, innovation, and a full spectrum of bright ideas. With a global workforce representing 99 nationalities, we are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where every voice is heard and valued, helping us all achieve more together.

Come join us, and together we can light the way.
