About the Opportunity

DMI, LLC is seeking a Junior Security Analyst to join our cybersecurity team as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO).  The ideal candidate will hold a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification and possess a foundational understanding of information security practices, risk management, and compliance.  You will assist with the implementation, maintenance, and enforcement of security policies to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of system security policies and procedures.
  • Support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and assist with security control assessments.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with federal and organizational security policies (e.g., FISMA, NIST SP 800-53).
  • Monitor information systems for security events and assist in incident response efforts.
  • Maintain security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), and Continuous Monitoring Efforts.
  • Coordinate with system owners, administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure security controls are properly implemented.
  • Stay current on cybersecurity threats, tools, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience: 

  • 1-2 years of experience in IT or cybersecurity-related roles

 

Required and Desired Skills/Certifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Active CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) certification.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, FISMA, RMF).
  • Strong communcation and documentation skills.
  • Basic understanding of networking, system administration, and cloud environments.
  • Experience working in a federal government contracting environment.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Archer, Splunk, eMASS, or similar.

 

Additional Requirements: Successful completion of a Public Trust background investigation and/or a Public Trust clearance
