Senior Cybersecurity Analyst

Evolver Federal is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to provide critical support in the analysis, development, and evaluation of cybersecurity solutions.

This position serves as a senior technical advisor, working across government and internal operational units to identify, manage, and mitigate security risks while supporting ongoing system implementations and security-related projects.

This is an onsite position based in Huntsville, AL

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, assess, and evaluate the security posture of applications, databases, operating systems, and networks.
• Assist in the planning and execution of security-related initiatives, including technology procurement and system deployment.
• Support the development of secure architectures, applying information assurance best practices and compliance standards.
• Serve as a technical resource, providing cybersecurity expertise to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT and operational teams to translate business needs into secure, scalable, and compliant solutions.
• Monitor systems using SIEM platforms such as Splunk Enterprise Security and Microsoft Sentinel, identifying and responding to potential threats.
• Contribute to security documentation and the implementation of security policies, procedures, and frameworks.

Basic Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field (or 8 years of equivalent work experience)
• Must have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligible or higher
• 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, security analysis, or IT risk management
• 3 years of Splunk Enterprise Security experience
• 2 years of Microsoft Sentinel experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI) certification
• Strong knowledge of SIEM technologies and security incident handling
• Familiarity with government or regulated IT environments
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
