I2X Technologies is seeking a Defensive Cyber Operations Engineer-Mid to support ongoing activities for a customer in Patrick AFB, FL. This position will be on-site and will require an active TS/SCI. 

• Consults on IT and cyber defensive architecture and technologies
• Have a strong understanding of networking and network architecture
• Adapt technologies to meet best fit for the mission architecture and threat. 
• Technologies include SIEM, vulnerability assessment, discovery, infrastructure (firewall, IPS/IDS, proxy, network capture), host based security, PCAP, penetration testing/external assessment tools, forensics, etc.
• Assesses assigned Cyber domain to thoroughly understand the mission, architecture and threat
• Advises on technical design and implementation of Defensive Cyber Operations capability required to effectively protect, detect and respond to cyber threats and attack
• Research cyber defense technology options for best fit based on mission, architecture and threat
• Design, implement, configure and/or tune Cyber Defense technology
• Authors documentations to include SOPs, checklists, implementation guides, architecture diagrams, crew binders, etc.
• Develop and tune cyber tools and technology like Manicore, ELK, Kafka, Suricata, BRO, cuckoo, yara, etc.

Qualifications

• BS Degree and 5 years of experience or BS and at least one of the following: GFACT, GISF, Cloud+, GCED, PenTest+, Security+, GSEC
• 5 years of experience Networking abilities that include administering firewalls, routers, switches, Virtual LANs, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs)
• Ability to access and configure Cisco Router IOS including ACLs
• Experience with TCP/IP addressing and Network address translation (NAT)
• Experience with Access Control List creation and troubleshooting
• Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) troubleshooting experience
• TS/SCI Clearance required
• 8140 compliant

Desired Experience and Skills

• Experience with Manticore and/or Kraken highly desired

Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
