Are you our new Product Manager Cyber security?

In our Product Management Office, nine Product Managers with different areas of responsibilities work together on the future strategy of our products and offering. It's a key function for Westermo, as the Product Managers work in the middle of technology and business, analyzing market needs and developing commercially successful products and services together with R&D, Operations and Sales.

As a Product Manager for cyber security, your focus is to ensure we deliver solutions that enable secure networks. In this rapidly evolving field, it is crucial that Westermo stays on top of—and ahead of—market demands. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Drive the success of your product portfolio (i.e. cyber security features in different product families)
  • Strategically define what to develop and oversee the development, alongside R&D and specifically the Product Owner for Cyber security
  • Create and refine product offerings based on business value, customer insight, and industrial market needs
  • Ensure products deliver exceptional value to customers and achieve business objectives
  • Ensure the profitability of products/services

So, who are we looking for?

We are seeking individuals with a strong foundation in cyber security and interest or experience in product management and business development. While deep technical knowledge is important, this role is first and foremost about understanding customer needs, market dynamics, and delivering business value through successful offerings.

Experience in the OT or industrial B2B sector (e.g., rail, energy, automation, manufacturing) is highly meritorious. Candidates from various disciplines who are eager to work at the intersection of business, products, and technology are welcome to apply.

Requirements:

  • Cyber Security Expertise: Knowledge of cyber security practices, standards (e.g., ISO27001, NIST CSF, CRA, etc.)
  • Practical Security Experience: with technologies such as Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Identity and Access Management (IAM), and other related security concepts.
  • Business Acumen: Proven or strong interest in product management, market positioning, and customer-focused solutions in a B2B context.

Meritorious:

  • Industrial/OT Background: Experience or familiarity with the unique challenges and requirements of the OT sector or mission-critical systems.
  • Previous experience working in complex industrial B2B environments—such as energy, transportation, or automation—where cyber security is a business-critical concern.
