Director, Cyber Transformation and Operations

Role Purpose

Acting as a key advisor and transformation leader, this role-holder will drive the uplift of cyber resilience, oversee key initiatives, and ensure alignment with both global regulatory expectations and business needs.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Support Group CISO in the development, publication, and delivery of a global cyber strategy aligned with business priorities and risk tolerance.
• Oversee and drive the success of cyber maturity remediation initiatives, including in-flight projects, which align to the NIST Cyber Security Framework
• Assist the CISO with preparing and crafting materials for senior stakeholder meetings, including with the board of directors and non-technical/technical Flutter and Group executives
• Partner with senior cyber and technology leadership across the Group to understand demand signal and standardize cyber tooling and capabilities where possible in partnership with strategic sourcing (i.e. cyber security catalog)
• Serve as a principal advisor to the CISO and deputise for CISO as and when required
• Responsible for all matters pertaining to organizational management, including annual planning, budget, training, team communication and coordination, and morale
• Develop positive relationships with security leaders across Flutter globally and coordinate opportunities for collaboration and joint planning across teams and brands
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and improved collective performance across the Flutter security organizations and develop metrics to measure and manage such performance
• Advise on current and emerging US and global cybersecurity policy and regulatory compliance
• Support Director, GRC & Strategy with the development and implementation of a global cybersecurity strategy which aligns with risk tolerance and uplifts capabilities for all brands and divisions

Qualifications & Experience

• 15+ years’ experience in cybersecurity and/or risk management
• Experience building or transforming global organizations with a sophisticated mission space and a multitude of diverse stakeholders
• Experience working in or with the U.S. government on matters of cyber policy and/or regulations
• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Proven track record lead and influence a diverse group of stakeholders while maintaining positive relationships
• Experience managing large-scale cyber programs and complex transformation initiatives
• Proven track record to devise and implement processes and process improvements in order to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness
• Results driven and accountability-minded
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated experience advising Boards or Executive Committees on cyber risk and regulatory readiness.
• Proven success driving cyber program outcomes tied to business KPIs (e.g., time-to-remediate, reduction in critical vulnerabilities, maturity score uplift).
