The Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud security and a deep understanding of securing cloud environments. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing security measures to protect our organization's cloud infrastructure and data. This role is within an operations team supporting Multifactor Authentication, Endpoint Security, Email Security and Data Loss Prevention. This provides ample opportunity to learn and grow within a highly collaborative team. 

Location

This is a remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S.

The Main Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage security solutions for cloud environments. 
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts in the cloud. 
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans of cloud infrastructure. 
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation for cloud security. 
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure comprehensive security measures are in place. 
• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members. 
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies related to cloud security. 
• Provide operational engineering support for Multifactor Authentication, Endpoint Security, Email Security and Data Loss Prevention as needed. 

What We Look For in a Candidate

Minimum Qualifications 
• Bachelor's degree in Information/Cyber Security, Computer Science, related field, or relevant experience. 
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in cloud security. 
• Candidate must be able to obtain Government Suitability. 
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 
• Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. 
• Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and antivirus software. 
• Possess or be willing to pursue relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, or equivalent are preferred. 

Preferred Qualifications 
• Microsoft or UNIX (including Linux or other UNIX derivatives) operating system administration/support experience. 
• Experience in engineering security controls within multi-cloud architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).  
• Development experience in scripting languages such as Python, Perl or PowerShell. 
• Candidate must possess or be willing to pursue applicable professional/technical certifications such as CCSP. 
• Experience in large enterprise or carrier data centers and/or networks. 
 

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$82,969 - $110,625 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$87,117 - $116,156 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$91,266 - $121,688 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
