Job Description

Wise is one the fastest growing companies in Europe and we’re on a mission: to make money without borders the new normal. We’ve got over 16 million customers across the globe and we’re growing. Fast.

Current banking systems don’t let us send, spend or receive money across borders easily. Or quickly. Or cheaply.

So, we’re building a new one.

And, we need a Security Engineer to join our mission and help us build a global platform that’s scalable, reliable and secure. We’re working on lots of exciting challenges, and you’ll dive right into projects helping consumers and businesses receive and send money from anywhere in the world.

You will be responsible for building security focused technical solutions with high regards to code quality, architecture applicability, performance, reliability and adherence to company-wide engineering standards. You will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, responding to, and managing security incidents, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our organization's information systems.

How we work

We work in an agile fashion, with engineers closely collaborating with other platform teams. Team operates from Tallinn, London and Austin offices.

  • Thrive in an environment of open feedback and continuous improvement.
  • Be ready to jump into on-call rotations, ensuring our systems are secure and resilient around the clock.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Python, Go, asynchronous message queues, and microservices architecture.
