Role Purpose:

At Beyond ONE, security is at the heart of everything we do. As we grow across new markets and expand our digital ecosystem, ensuring the security of our systems, devices, and data is critical. This IT Security Engineer II role is pivotal in implementing robust security controls and ensuring that our IT infrastructure remains safeguarded against evolving threats. You’ll be supporting Beyond ONE’s mission to deliver secure, reliable, and innovative services to customers around the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain technical security controls across the group's IT systems, endpoints, servers, and cloud services.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and configuration audits for IT assets.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of IT security policies, procedures, and standards.
  •  Lead incident response activities for IT systems, including root cause analysis and remediation plans.
  • Monitor, detect, and respond to security events across endpoint, network, and cloud environments.
  • Work closely with IT operations, software development, and infrastructure teams to integrate security best practices into daily operations and project lifecycles.
  • Manage security configurations for devices such as laptops, mobile devices, servers, networking equipment, and firewalls.
  • · Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, local data protection laws).
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on security awareness and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and technology trends, and recommend solutions when appropriate.

 

Qualifications & Attributes:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Relevant security certifications are a strong advantage (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, SSCP, CISSP, CISM).
  • Proven experience as an IT Security Engineer.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience:

  •  3–5 years of proven experience working in IT security, cybersecurity, systems administration, or a related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience managing IT security systems like EDR (SentinelOne, Crowkstrike), SSO (Entra, Okta, OneLogin), MDM (Intune, Jamf).
  • Managing Zero Trust systems like CASBs, end VPNs.
  • Hands-on experience implementing security controls for Windows, Linux, and cloud environments (Azure or AWS) would be a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems security, endpoint security, mobile device management, identity and access management (IAM), and network security.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, VLANs, etc.).
  • Good scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation and incident response purposes.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks lie ISO 27001, NIST CSF, is a plus.
  • Experience working in a multinational environment and/or familiarity with international regulatory requirements is a plus.
