Job Description
This is a mid-level cybersecurity role responsible for supporting monitoring and rapid response. This role will be responsible for analysis, investigation, and response of security issues, and driving detection improvements whenever possible. This role will continue to build a foundation of skills and knowledge in analytics and investigations and will provide a clear career path to more senior analyst positions
Responsibilities
- Lead the resolution of cyber security issues within defined SLAs as appropriate
- Analyzing security events and performing investigations to determine if events are a true positive or false positive
- Proactively identifying emerging threats and vulnerabilities
- Identify and present solutions and process improvements
- Be an escalation point for junior members of the team in accordance with defined runbooks and SLAs
- Take responsibility for independent projects
- Thoroughly document work and present findings to management
- Creating and maintaining runbooks as well as other procedural documentation regarding how to perform analyst tasks
- Adhering to cyber security processes, procedures and other documentation while performing analyst duties
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree and 6+ years of experience or Master’s Degree and 5+ years of experience or PHD and 0 years of experience
- Willingness to be available, as needed, for major and critical security issues
- Basic understanding of security controls and concepts (e.g. anti-virus, EDR, IPS/IDS, DLP, vulnerability scanners, application security)
- Ability to create technical documentation
- Familiarity with cyber security terminology and concepts, and basic understanding of the cyber threat landscape and attack vectors
- Capable of learning new concepts and processes quickly, and adapting to a constantly changing environment
- Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to successfully interact with non-technical business contacts
- Ability to analyze and understand technical information
- Strong organization skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
