Linux Administrator – Cyber Operations

CompQsoft is seeking a Linux Administrator to support cybersecurity infrastructure for mission-critical cyber operations within the FBI. As part of the Data and Applications Team, this role ensures the resilience, reliability, and performance of systems used for threat detection, incident response, and secure data analysis.

Position: Linux Administrator – Cyber Operations (Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Specialist SME)

Security Clearance: Active Top Secret (TS) with SCI Eligibility

Key Responsibilities

Administer, maintain, and optimize Linux-based systems supporting cybersecurity tools and platforms

Support deployment, testing, and troubleshooting of hardware/software in secure environments

Collaborate with developers and analysts to enable real-time cyber defense operations

Implement security best practices across system configurations and infrastructure

Support integration of cyber tools and automation workflows

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility

Hands-on experience with Linux system administration in enterprise or secure environments

Strong knowledge of cybersecurity infrastructure, system hardening, and scripting

Familiarity with cloud-hosted environments (AWS, etc.) and secure enclave support

Preferred Certifications

Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA)

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Associate
