The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Journeyman Cyber Defense Incident Responder to fill a key role in supporting and defending multiple networks across multiple classification levels. This position involves monitoring, analyzing and responding to cybersecurity incidents to protect sensitive information and systems while maintaining operational integrity.
The work location for this position is Omaha, Nebraska. The position is contingent upon award of the United States Strategic Command SCITLS contract.
Responsibilities:
Cyber Defense Incident Responder, Journeyman:
Investigates, analyzes, and responds to cyber incidents within the network environment or enclave
Performs Change Management IAW documented USSTRATCOM policy and standards
Provides cybersecurity health and status reports (e.g., Forescout C2C, ACAS)
Ensures all physical security and cybersecurity requirements are met in the protection of USSTRATCOM data migrating to and hosted on Cloud Services
Verifies all CSSP capabilities, functions, and requirements are managed IAW DoD directives
Provides NetOps support and follows the DoD Information Network (DoDIN) connection approval processes
Coordinates with systems and network administrators for the CSSP mission to protect, monitor, analyze, detect, and respond to cybersecurity events
Conducts incident response initial analysis and triage, including directed activities defined in preparation, identification of events, and containment, and analyzes, eradicates, recovers, and posts incidents lessons learned
Possesses and applies expertise on multiple, complex work assignments
Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks
Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems
Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) as required by mission needs
Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership to meet mission requirements and support USSTRATCOM objectives. Depending on experience and team structure, this role may involve working under direct supervision or potentially providing guidance, training, or supervision to others
Qualifications:
Required:
Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on incident response
Required 8140 Cert within 6 months of start date: 531 - Basic; None; OR Applicable degree ABET accredited/CAE designated; OR Training
AND
Additional Cert: Any Cyber Network Defense (CND)
Proficient in security information and event management (SIEM) tools and threat detection technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

The proposed salary range for this position is:
