IT Audit Senior Associate – Global Banks Practice
Location: Remote (U.S.-based)
Engagement Type: Temporary (12+ months, with potential to extend)
Overview:
RSM is seeking highly skilled IT Audit professionals to join our Global Banks Practice on a temporary basis. This Senior Associate role supports internal audit engagements focused on Capital Markets and Capital Management for a large global banking client. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in the Third Line of Defense, deep knowledge of U.S. federal banking regulations, and the ability to deliver high-quality, regulator-ready audit workpapers.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute IT internal audits
Conduct risk assessments, plan and perform fieldwork, and evaluate IT General Controls (ITGCs)
Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, including OCC, FRB, FFIEC, and SOX
Engage with business and technology stakeholders to assess risks and control effectiveness
Prepare thorough audit documentation and findings that meet internal and regulatory standards
Assist with issue tracking and validation of remediation efforts
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in IT Audit, Internal Audit, or Technology Risk
Must have experience working in the Internal Audit function (Third Line of Defense)
Strong working knowledge of U.S. federal banking regulations and audit expectations
Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to contextualize IT risks within financial services
Proven ability to produce regulator-ready audit workpapers
Experience with large global banks or Big 4/advisory firms is strongly preferred
Preferred Certifications (not required):
CISA, CRISC, CIA, CISSP, or CPA

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
