Overview
Abacus Technology is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to support system security analysis, cyber policy management, and compliance enforcement at Fort Bragg. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with DoD RMF, NIST 800-53, DISA STIGs, and IAVM security directives.
- Review applications, conduct security scans, and assist in maintaining cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Support security control assessments and risk management processes for information systems.
- Assist in developing cybersecurity configuration implementation strategies, considering mission-critical requirements.
- Respond to cyber threats and emergency security incidents, ensuring timely detection and resolution.
- Assist in the development of proactive security solutions to mitigate risks from malicious activities.
- Perform security log analysis, threat hunting, and intrusion detection monitoring.
- Support incident response activities, including forensic analysis, attack containment, and remediation planning.
- Perform engineering, system administration, or network management functions with privileged-level access.
- Ensure proper access controls, authentication mechanisms, and data encryption policies are enforced.
- Maintain audit logs and system monitoring tools to detect and investigate unauthorized access attempts.
- Provide security engineering support for new IT projects, network upgrades, and mission-critical initiatives.
- Assist in developing and maintaining cybersecurity policies, guidelines, and security awareness programs.
- Support the Government in leading post-wide security initiatives to enhance network defense in-depth.
- Participate in security architecture reviews to assess risks and recommend security enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with Army cybersecurity policies, including AR 25-2 and DoD cybersecurity mandates.
- Maintain detailed cybersecurity documentation, vulnerability assessments, and incident response reports.
- Assist in preparing compliance reports, system security plans (SSPs), and Authority to Operate (ATO) packages.
- Provide technical input for cybersecurity audits, risk assessments, and accreditation efforts.
Qualifications
3+ years experience in cybersecurity operations, system security analysis, and RMF compliance. Bachelor’s degree in a related field desired. Must be Security+ certified (or hold an equivalent certification in compliance with IAT Level II). CISSP and CEH certifications desired. Experience with DoD cybersecurity policies, including RMF, NIST 800-53, and DoDI 8500.01. Hands-on experience responding to cyber threats, security incidents, and vulnerability remediation. Proficient in system administration, network security, or engineering roles with privileged-level access. Able to communicate complex security concepts to IT teams, analysts, and Army leadership. Experience with DoD cybersecurity tools such as ACAS, HBSS, SIEM solutions, and endpoint protection platforms. Hands-on experience with network security, firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems (IPS). Able to interact professionally with all levels of an organization. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
