Summary
HII, Mission Technologies is seeking a Cyber Transport Network Engineer to perform, coordinate, supervise, defend and/or restore networking and communications for a US Air Force AWS cloud-based program. The program will involve the final integration and deployment of Zero-trust enabled, data centric, coalition information sharing functionality to DoD components, allies, and interagency partners.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Perform, coordinate, integrate and supervise network design, configuration, operation, defense, restoration, and improvements.
- Analyze capabilities and performance, identify problems, and recommends corrective action.
- Fabricate, terminate, and interconnect wiring and associated network infrastructure devices.
- Perform, coordinate, integrate and supervise network design, configuration, operation, defense, restoration, and improvements on radio frequency wireless, line-of-sight, beyond line-of-sight, wideband, and ground-based satellite and encryption transmission devices in a fixed and deployed environment.
- Develop and ensure compliance with safety standards and instructions.
- Review and maintains operational measurement reports and analyzes network utilization.
- Apply communications security program requirements to include physical, cryptographic, transmission, and emission security.
Minimum Qualifications
- 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
- 6+ years' experience in all aspects of deployment, sustainment, troubleshooting and repair of standard voice, data and video network infrastructure systems, IP detection systems, firewalls, routing, switching, External Border Gateway Protocol (EBGP) and Internal Border Gateway Protocol (IBGP), and High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) TACLANE KG cryptographic equipment.
- Actives Secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements
May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment.
