Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Systems Administrator with a TS/SCI clearance to provide support to a Government Office at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. The Systems Administrator Support Specialist will provide specialized Information Technology and network administration in support of advanced IT infrastructure development. The primary focus will be on Windows Server and Active Directory support, with Linux administration experience desired but not required. Additionally, the role involves providing technical advice on advanced IT and networking issues and interacting daily with Information Technology/Cybersecurity Teams, Program Managers, and industry subject matter experts across multiple domains (air, space, cyber) to assist the government with technical assessments and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

• Ensure compliance with DoD 8570 Level II (Security+).• Develop and maintain classified networks.• Support integration and testing for DoD and USAF systems.• Understand and apply DoD, USAF, and interagency information assurance requirements.• Navigate DoD, USAF, and interagency security accreditation procedures.• Apply current SAP and SCI information assurance requirements (e.g., JSIG, RMF, JAFAN) as required.• Communicate and collaborate clearly within and outside the immediate team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience directly related to the responsibilities outlined above.• Skills:• Skilled in coordinating and applying system patches and updates to ensure security and compliance with organizational policies.• Expertise in implementing and maintaining robust backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.• Proficiency in managing virtual environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) to optimize system performance and resource utilization.• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) to automate routine administrative tasks and enhance operational efficiency.• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices to protect against vulnerabilities and threats.• Familiarity with system and network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds) to maintain high availability and performance of IT services.• Strong communication skills – written and verbal.• Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure in a fast-paced, yet rewarding environment.• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Desired Requirements:• Linux administration experience desiredEducation Requirements: • Associate's degree in an IT-related field preferred, and 5+ years of direct IT and systems administration experience.• Technical Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field (Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering) desired

Clearance Requirements:

• Must hold an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with SCI Eligibility.• Duties will require unescorted entry and work within classified SAP and SCI facilities 100% onsite at the customer's facilities.• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
