Position Overview

At Apollo, we’re a global team of alternative investment managers passionate about delivering uncommon value to our investors and shareholders. With over 30 years of proven expertise across Private Equity, Credit and Real Estate, regions and industries, we’re known for our integrated businesses, our strong investment performance, our value-oriented philosophy – and our people.

We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Platform Lead to join our Engineering function. This role is instrumental in executing a multi-year GRC technology roadmap and will blend the responsibilities of a solution architect, configuration lead, and platform governance owner. The role will also lead day-to-day support and operational oversight of the GRC technology platform, ensuring its alignment with business needs and technology standards.

As Apollo continues to experience significant and rapid growth, we leverage the strength of our technology tools and operational processes to support our current and future investment structures. Our technology helps enable the strategic growth initiatives and connectivity of the firm.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of the multi-year GRC technology roadmap in close partnership with Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, Cybersecurity, and other stakeholders.

  • Architect and configure solutions on the Archer Integrated Risk Management platform to support business processes across Enterprise Risk, Operational Risk, Business Continuity Management (BCM), SOX, and Third-Party Assurance (SOC-1, ISAE 3402).

  • Define and own platform governance, including SDLC processes, configuration standards, access controls, and data quality monitoring.

  • Serve as the primary technology liaison for internal stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate them into scalable solutions.

  • Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for the GRC platform, managing issue resolution, upgrades, and patches.

  • Oversee development resources (internal and/or external) and ensure project deliverables are met on time and to specification.

  • Support integration of the GRC platform with enterprise systems and data sources to enable a unified Risk and Control Infrastructure.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, integrations, and governance processes.

  • Promote best practices in risk data management, user experience design, and control rationalization.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in GRC technology roles, with a strong background in Archer IRM (required).

  • Demonstrated experience in solution architecture, configuration, and administration of Archer IRM across multiple risk domains.

  • Strong business analysis and project management capabilities; ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and competing priorities.

  • Deep understanding of enterprise risk management, SOX, third-party risk, internal audit processes, and regulatory compliance frameworks.

  • Knowledge of risk and control frameworks and their implementation in large, complex organizations.

  • Experience with platform governance, SDLC processes, and change management practices.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Prior experience working in or with global financial institutions strongly preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Archer certifications (Administrator, Advanced Configuration, API/Integration, etc.).

  • Experience with data visualization, reporting, and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and DevOps tools.

  • Understanding of Cybersecurity and Regulatory Compliance needs as they intersect with GRC platforms.
