TechnologyAs a Mainframe RACF Security Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the security of our mainframe environment. You will ensure that our systems are protected against unauthorized access and that security policies are enforced consistently. Your expertise in RACF (Resource Access Control Facility) will be crucial in safeguarding our data and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and maintain RACF security on mainframe systems.
Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
Monitor and audit access to mainframe resources.
Perform security assessments and vulnerability analyses.
Collaborate with IT and security teams to address security incidents.
Provide support for security-related issues and inquiries.
Develop and maintain documentation for security processes and procedures.
Stay updated on the latest security trends and technologies.
Handle user account management, including password resets and new ID setups.
Manage access requests and permissions for various systems and applications.
Monitor and support batch processing and job scheduling.
Assist with the creation and maintenance of reports and queries.
Maintain and update security documentation and profiles.
Perform regular audits and cleanups to ensure compliance with security policies.
Provide support and assistance to other administrators and departments as needed.
Perform data manipulation and analysis as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Mainframe RACF Security Administrator.
In-depth knowledge of RACF and mainframe security principles.
Strong understanding of mainframe operating systems (e.g., z/OS).
Experience with security tools and technologies.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of JCL coding and job management on an automated scheduler.
Experience with ServiceNow.
Familiarity with QMF.
Familiarity with ViewDirect/Document Direct (report archive and viewing facility).
Familiarity with SharePoint.
Nice to have:
Knowledge of BMO applications.
Experience with Vanguard Security Suite.
Data manipulation techniques using REXX, SAS or other tools.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
Salary:
$74,800.00 - $138,600.00Pay Type:
SalariedThe above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
