IT Support Security Engineer

Job Summary
The IT Support Security Engineer is responsible for providing technical support while also maintaining and enhancing the organization's cybersecurity posture. This hybrid role bridges the gap between IT support and cybersecurity, ensuring secure, efficient, and resilient IT operations.

Responsibilities & Duties 
•    Provide first and second-level technical support to end users (Windows, macOS, mobile, network devices).
•    Monitor and respond to security incidents, alerts, and vulnerabilities.
•    Implement and manage security tools (e.g., antivirus, EDR, firewalls, MFA, SIEM).
•    Assist in user access management, including onboarding, offboarding, and permissions auditing.
•    Maintain and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
•    Perform system patching, updates, and configuration changes in accordance with security best practices.
•    Document technical issues and solutions in a knowledge base.

Qualifications & Skills
•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; or equivalent experience.
•    Skills & Experience
o    Security Engineer – Minimal 5 years’ experience in supporting large financial institutions with skill Firewall, Trellix IPS, Vulnerability Pentest/Remediation, Email gateway, and ForcePoint DLP.
•    User Support & Troubleshooting
o    Provide support & troubleshoot user issues, and resolve technical problems related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
o    Support BAU task by handling routine tasks, such as software installations, updates, and equipment setup, to ensure BAU service request meeting SLA.
•    System Maintenance & Monitoring: 
o    Assist in daily monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of IT systems to ensure smooth operations and prevent downtime.
o    Ensure in patching & security hardening complete on time according to internal SLA. 
•    Incident Management: 
o    Participate in incident response activities, including logging, tracking, and resolving tickets within the established service level agreements (SLAs) between Generali IT & users.
•    Project Assistance: 
o    Support ongoing IT projects by handling routine tasks, such as software installations, updates, and equipment setup, to keep projects on schedule.
•    Documentation & Reporting: 
o    Maintain accurate records of support activities, technical update, and provide regular reports in the IT Service Management tool on key performance metrics.
•    Work closely with other team members to share knowledge and provide backup during peak times.
