Reporting into the Global Head of Managed Security Solutions, this role is critical in developing and maturing our detection and response capability—ensuring that we deliver best-in-class SOC services to our global clients.  The Head of Security Operations is a pivotal leadership role within our Managed Security Services (MSS) function, responsible for shaping and driving the performance of our Security Operations Centres (which provide a 24x7 service).

Role responsibilities: 

We’re looking for someone with a passion for security operations who can lead from the front—not just as a manager, but as a hands-on practitioner when needed—building a high-performing, motivated monitoring team and pushing continual improvements in how we detect, respond to, and manage security incidents. This role will play a key part in maintaining exceptional service quality, optimising detection logic, tuning out false positives, and working closely with our wider security teams across IR, Engineering, Threat Intelligence, Client Success, and Offensive Security.

What we are looking for: 

The successful candidate will be client-focused, performance-driven, and confident in representing our service at all levels—internally and externally.  You'll be an experienced SOC Manager or have experience in a Senior Operations role within an MSSP environment, with hands-on experience of Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, LogRhythm, CrowdStrike Falcon, and TenableOne.  You'll have a solid grounding in incident detection, triage and response processes, and a passion for engaging directly with clients including service reviews, escalation and solution refinement.
