Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly experienced Auditor III with a background in the airline industry. This role is central to evaluating and strengthening the organization's cybersecurity controls and risk posture. The ideal candidate will lead audit initiatives, assess compliance with aviation cybersecurity regulations, and proactively manage threats and vulnerabilities specific to the airline sector. This position requires strong collaboration across departments and a strategic understanding of industry-specific cybersecurity challenges.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute internal and external cybersecurity audits tailored to airline industry standards.
  • Evaluate security controls for effectiveness, ensuring alignment with aviation-specific frameworks such as IATA, NIST, and ISO 27001.
  • Compile audit findings into detailed reports, presenting risk-based recommendations to leadership.
  • Conduct risk assessments and prioritize mitigation strategies for aviation-specific threats.
  • Act as a cybersecurity advisor during strategic engagements and initiatives.
  • Ensure cybersecurity policies are communicated and enforced organization-wide.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and emerging threats impacting the aviation industry.
  • Stay up to date on evolving technologies, vulnerabilities, and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or 4 additional years of equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, with hands-on involvement in audits or risk assessments.
  • Familiarity with leading standards and frameworks (e.g., IATA, NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Strong understanding of core security principles and enterprise-level technologies.
  • Proficient with tools like SIEMs, vulnerability scanners, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and related systems.
  • Skilled in risk evaluation methods and security compliance tools.
  • Knowledge in cloud security, endpoint protection, and network security protocols.
  • Strong communication and reporting abilities, especially with mixed technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to operate both independently and within cross-functional teams in a high-demand environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CISM, OSCP, CEH) are preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience directly addressing cybersecurity challenges in the airline industry.
  • Prior consulting or advisory experience in a security-focused role.
  • Familiarity with GRC platforms and enterprise risk management tools.
  • Exposure to penetration testing, ethical hacking, or Red Team operations.
  • Hands-on expertise in incident response, identity management, vulnerability remediation, or related fields.
  • Experience operating in large-scale enterprise environments with complex security demands.
