POSITION OVERVIEW

Fidelity National Financial (FNF) is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic summer intern to join our SOC team in our Information Security Office. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations and contribute to the protection of our clients' digital assets. During this internship you will gain hands-on experience in a real-world SOC environment, have mentorship from experienced cybersecurity professionals, and have the opportunity contribute to meaningful projects and initiatives.

 

LOCATION

  • The summer internship is an onsite position at our HQ in Jacksonville, FL.
  • Flexibility to work one/two days from home per week.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor Security Alerts: Assist in monitoring and analyzing security alerts from various sources, including intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and antivirus software.
  • Incident Response: Support the SOC team in responding to security incidents, including initial triage, investigation, and documentation.
  • Threat Analysis: Participate in threat intelligence gathering and analysis to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Reporting: Help prepare and present reports on security incidents, trends, and metrics to SOC management.
  • Research: Conduct research on emerging cybersecurity threats and best practices to enhance SOC operations. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (preferably a junior or senior).
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
