The Position:
FanDuel Sports Network is seeking a Senior Director, Infrastructure to join the Engineering Team. Reporting to the VP, Engineering this position will lead our organization's broadcast, systems, network, and cloud strategy, design, implementation, maintenance, and operations.  The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, technical expertise, and strategic vision to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our infrastructure.

This position is located in Southport, CT.

The Game Plan:
(What you will do)

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive infrastructure strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of broadcast and site reliability engineers fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Broadcast Systems Design: Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of broadcast systems ensuring flexibility, efficiency, and stability.
  • Network Design and Architecture: Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance scalable, reliable, and secure network architectures to meet current and future business needs.
  • Infrastructure Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize system performance, capacity, and efficiency through monitoring, analysis, and implementation of best practices.
  • AWS Administration and Cloud Strategy: Oversee the administration of AWS infrastructure, including resource provisioning, cost management, and security. Develop and execute a comprehensive cloud strategy, integrating cloud solutions with on-premise systems.
  • Security Management: Oversee implementation of and enforce robust network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and service providers to evaluate, select, and procure network hardware, software, and services.
  • Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Develop and manage the infrastructure budget including broadcast, network, and systems ensuring cost-effective solutions and optimal resource allocation.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure infrastructure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, as well as mitigation of security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Incident Response: Lead and or participate in incident response team(s) during events that impact business operations.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans for network infrastructure.

The Stats:
(What to bring)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Expertise in broadcast technologies across all aspects of content creation and distribution: remote technology, studio technology, transport, master control, satellite and IP distribution, and streaming.
  • Expertise in network design, implementation, and administration, including LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and best practices.
  • Experience with AWS infrastructure management and cloud computing strategies.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex network infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Industry certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP, or equivalent are a plus.

  • MLB: Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels, Miami Marlins, Milwaukee Brewers, St. Louis Cardinals and Tampa Bay Rays.

The RSNs produce over 3,000 live local professional telecasts each year in addition to a wide variety of locally produced sports events and programs.

Main Street Sports Group also has a minority interest in the YES Network, the local destination for the New York Yankees and Brooklyn Nets.
