AVP - Network Security Storage & Backup Architect.MGN EGY - TECH-Enterprise Architecture.Technology - MGNEGP

The architect will work with Infrastructure team to have defined reference architecture, run a governance function and assess existing backup and recovery processes and implement improvements to minimize data recovery times and reduce the risk of data loss.

This role will provide expertise in designing and integrating solutions that encompass network security, storage management, and backup strategies and ensure that all these components are interconnected seamlessly, optimizing performance. This architect will also design scalable, high-performance storage solutions ensuring data accessibility, availability, and performance optimization across all business units and locations.

• Network Architecture: Developing and implementing network architecture and solutions including LANs, WANs, VPNs, SD-WAN, and network security.
• Infrastructure Design: Designing and implementing enterprise-class IT infrastructure solutions including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud-based systems.
• Storage & Back up Architecture: Designing and expertise in  Storage Tiers, RAIDS, DAS, NAS,SAN, Cloud Storage, Backup Types, Backup Storages, Backup Scheduling & Backup Verification and Testing
• Cloud Integration: Integrating on-premises systems with cloud services and designing hybrid cloud solutions.
• Security: Ensuring that infrastructure and network solutions are secure and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
• Performance Optimization: Analyzing the performance of infrastructure and network systems and recommending improvements.
• Documentation and Communication: Documenting designs, solutions, and processes. Communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Tools & Platform: Should have worked or been familiar with infrastructure and network tools that would enhance the designs produced

At least 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, network, storage & Backup architecture, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex IT solutions. With overall experience not more than 15 years.

Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and network security.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and cloud networking.
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, storage, databases, etc.).
• Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc., are preferred.
