Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer the Sr. Director, Infrastructure will lead and execute the enterprise-wide IT strategy and is responsible for ensuring the infrastructure and operations strategy is fully aligned and positioned to deliver compelling business value. They will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Network and Infrastructure, ensuring resilience, security, and excellence in all IT operations.
General Accountabilities:
- Establish the roadmap that sets the mission, vision, strategy, service offerings and workforce of the infrastructure team to maximize the success of business and IT organizational initiatives.
- Introduce and implement innovative, differentiating infrastructure and operations solutions, including cloud computing, that enhance the company's overall capabilities and employee experience.
- Improve IT infrastructure resilience by developing and maintaining strategies and plans that improve reliability, tolerability, disaster recovery readiness and business continuity.
- Plan, acquire, and coordinate the installation of related infrastructure hardware and software across the organization.
- Manage and ensure the effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, NAC, etc.
- Design and develop a strong and diverse leadership team, together with a reporting structure for the function.
- Hire, train resources and manage employee performance and productivity.
- Develop staff personal development and training plan and coach managers and staff.
- Provide support and direction for personnel matters and motivation.
- Collaborate with and effectively manage external service providers
Selection Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, with preference given to a degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity with ten years of pertinent systems experience, of which at least five years in management capacity.
- Require 10+ years ofr related experience with a focus on DR/BCP
- Proven experience in managing and modernizing IT infrastructure, including data centers, servers, networks, storage, and databases with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, including virtualization, networking concepts, and backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Extensive experience managing and configuring enterprise-wide LANs, Cisco ACI, WANs, WLANs, VPNs, etc.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, servers, and so on.
- Experience establishing and improving DevOps, as well as other working practices (e.g., ITIL).
- Knowledge and experience in network cabling and different types of circuit installations and handoffs/termination/demarcation.
- Public cloud engineering experience with either Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure environments
- Practical experience designing and implementing and/or replacing VMWare
- Experience designing and implementing Software-defined Networks
- Experience in implementing IT Services Management (ITIL) best practices.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, including presenting executive leadership on related matters
- Strong financial acumen, including financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting experience
- Experience in a regulated industry is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in supporting a business in dealing with regulation, audit and compliance controls documentation and testing of its business systems is an asset.
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or CISM are a plus.
