What you’ll be doing:

  • Strategic Leadership and Governance:
    • Define and lead the enterprise security strategy, aligning with organizational objectives and regulatory frameworks.
    • Develop and enforce robust IT security policies, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
    • Act as a key advisor to senior management on emerging security trends and risk mitigation strategies.

    • Oversee and manage multiple vulnerability management programs, ensuring timely identification, prioritization, and remediation of security risks.
    • Implement automation tools to streamline vulnerability assessments and enhance operational efficiency.
    • Lead end-to-end vulnerability assessment processes, providing actionable insights and support for remediation efforts.
  • Incident Response and Threat Intelligence:
    • Develop and lead incident response strategies, managing root cause analyses and implementing improvements to enhance resilience.
    • Conduct proactive threat hunting activities, leveraging security log data and tools to identify and neutralize undetected threats.
    • Coordinate cyber intelligence analysis to detect, contain, and eradicate advanced persistent threats (APT) targeting the organization.
  • Technical and Analytical Expertise:
    • Maintain expertise in network communications, routing protocols, and internet standards to design and implement secure infrastructures.
    • Lead the development and deployment of dashboards and reports for comprehensive security program oversight.
    • Oversee the use and management of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools to ensure ongoing alignment with compliance requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with security architecture, application development, network, and other teams to implement and optimize security measures.
    • Engage with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders to maintain compliance and demonstrate organizational commitment to security excellence.

Requirements

If you are passionate about security and possess deep expertise in this field, we want to hear from you. To excel as a Security Architect at KingMakers, you’ll need:

  • 7+ years of experience in security architecture, with a focus on protecting large-scale applications and infrastructures.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP top ten) and demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in security technologies such as firewalls, anti-virus software, intrusion detection systems, encryption, and identity management solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud security practices across various platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Ability to perform risk assessments and develop threat modeling strategies to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.

You’ll succeed in this role if you are:

  • Can-do attitude: You approach challenges with a problem-solving mindset, seeing obstacles as opportunities to improve and innovate rather than as roadblocks.
  • Proactive and accountable: You take ownership of security challenges, anticipate risks, and drive solutions independently, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Organized and focused: You excel at managing multiple security initiatives, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high standards, even in high-pressure environments.
  • Security-driven: You’re passionate about building and maintaining secure systems, always looking for new ways to strengthen defenses and stay ahead of emerging threats.
  • Adaptable and flexible: You thrive in dynamic environments where security needs evolve rapidly. You’re comfortable stepping outside your defined scope to collaborate and contribute where needed.
  • Team-oriented: You work seamlessly with engineers, architects, and business stakeholders, fostering open communication and shared goals to build a strong security posture.
  • Relationship builder: You connect easily with cross-functional teams, ensuring security best practices are integrated into development, operations, and business decisions.
  • Calm under pressure: You maintain focus and composure in fast-paced, high-stakes environments, ensuring security incidents and challenges are handled with clarity and precision.
