Auria's rapidly deployable products enhance your mission's speed, precision, and security with military-grade software for Battlespace Readiness, cybersecurity, mission planning, satellite imagery management, SATCOM, and DevSecOps operations.Auria is looking to hire a Fullstack Software Developer to support the development of the Enterprise Management & Control (EM&C) system for the Department of Defense (DOD) Satellite Communication (SATCOM) Enterprise. The ideal candidate will perform both frontend and backend development tasks to deliver new products and services to the EM&C system, with a focus on modern, responsive UI/UX using Angular and robust backend services using Java.
The primary work location is in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Essential Functions:
- Design, develop, deploy, and test responsive user interfaces using Angular and robust backend services using Java based on tasks assigned through Agile workflows.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, backend developers, system engineers, and testers to ensure seamless integration, resolve issues, and meet usability and performance standards.
- Maintain and enhance existing Angular applications and Java-based services, implementing new features based on customer requirements and stakeholder feedback.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to fullstack architecture decisions that ensure performance, scalability, accessibility, and maintainability.
- Develop RESTful APIs and integrate frontend components with backend services securely and efficiently.
Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET security clearance (existing clearance preferred).
- (Engineer Level 3) Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline and 7+ years of relevant experience, Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with Angular and Java (Spring Boot preferred).
- Experience with HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience designing and developing backend services, REST APIs, and database integration.
- Understanding of frontend testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Jasmine, Karma, Selenium).
- Understanding of standard software development and management tools (e.g., Git/GitHub, Nexus, Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA).
- Strong debugging and browser-based development tool skills.
- Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication, including the ability to present technical solutions to stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced Agile environment.
- Proficiency with M.S. Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current U.S. Government SECRET security clearance.
- Security+ certification or equivalent DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
- Experience with responsive design frameworks such as Angular Material, Bootstrap, or Tailwind CSS.
- Familiarity with Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and secure coding best practices.
- Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Familiarity with RESTful API integration, JSON-based data exchange, and secure web application environments.
- Experience working with state management libraries in Angular (e.g., NgRx, Akita, or RxJS patterns).
- Familiarity with DOD communications systems and secure web application environments (e.g., C2ISR platforms, SATCOM networks).
- Experience supporting programs through requirements reviews, UI/UX design reviews, and customer demos.
- Exposure to DevSecOps practices, including Git-based version control, automated builds, and frontend deployment pipelines.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team using tools like Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket is highly desirable.
Pay Range: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level ($94,000 - $120,000).
