Job Overview:
The IT Assurance Technical Senior Manager (PCI) at Crowe LLP is a pivotal role focused on leading and managing IT Assurance engagements with a strong emphasis on PCI DSS compliance. This position involves planning, supervising, and executing complex IT audit projects while fostering business development and client relationships. The role requires a strategic mindset to drive new product offerings and services, ensuring high-quality delivery within budget and timelines.
The IT Assurance Manager will work closely with senior management to communicate project status and issues effectively, and will have the opportunity to lead cybersecurity portions of service offerings, including, Financial Assurance, and SOC Reporting
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage IT Assurance engagements, focusing on PCI DSS compliance and IT audit projects.
- Conduct hands-on cybersecurity-focused work and oversee junior personnel.
- Oversee project economics, including budget tracking, billing, and collection analysis.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, identifying new business opportunities.
- Provide technical guidance on information systems, technology architecture, and security.
- Communicate issues and project status to Crowe executives and client senior management.
- Participate in strategic initiatives related to new product offerings and services.
- Supervise and review workpapers, preparing final audit and consulting reports.
- Set performance expectations for senior and staff-level IT auditors, providing feedback.
Engage in business development efforts and demand creation. - Innovate and build tools and methodologies for assessing large networks and cloud environments.
- Travel nationally or internationally as required, up to 60%.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a similar discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in IT audit, SAS 70/SOC, IT Financial Audit Support, or PCI
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Information Security with a focus on PCI.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in planning engagements, managing IT audit projects, and supervising personnel.
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification required.
- Past or current certification as a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) or Internal Security Assessor (ISA) or willingness to obtain it.
- CPA certification strongly preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with midrange or mainframe architecture (IBM iSeries or IBM OS/390).
- Knowledge of auditing network operating systems, network architecture, and configuration standards.
- Familiarity with application controls for Oracle Financials, SAP, Lawson, Hyperion, or PeopleSoft Financials.
- Experience with business development and proposal preparation.
- Knowledge of networking technology and system/network administration on UNIX, Linux, and Microsoft Windows.
- Understanding of security areas such as Auditing, Policy, Database Security, Firewall Design and Implementation, Risk Analysis, Identity Management, Access Management, or Web Services.

The Audit and Assurance team at Crowe provides traditional attestation services as well as IT Assurance and consulting. IT Assurance professionals demonstrate deep specialization through an understanding of the market and technology and business challenges their clients face in managing IT controls and preventing cybersecurity threats from disrupting their organization. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
