The National Security Sector is seeking a highly motivated and tactical Management Systems Solutions Architect (Senior) supporting Leidos Homeland and Force Protection Business Area division FBI portfolio. The candidate will support our Agile DevSecOps contract and be responsible for understanding customer needs to create applications. The ideal candidate will possess superior analytical and problem-solving skills, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, be a strong team player, and can establish solid working relationships with technical staff and peers within the division, as well as our external Government customers. Experience in communications, Agile, and DevSecOps; hardware/software fabrication; Cloud, platform system integration; and/or test and evaluation is a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs complex and advanced architecture work in design, evaluation, planning, testing and operation in support of system development, engineering analysis and research.

  • Leads in the integration of processes and methodologies to ensure the performance of the total system.

  • Works directly with senior technical personnel, program managers, and external organizations in the planning, oversight, execution, and evaluation of multiple complex technical solutions related to a program's system and technical product development.

  • Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of scientific principles and practices in broad areas across one or more technical disciplines.

  • Maintains a liaison role for technical matters with staff and customers and acts independently on technical issues within his/her field of expertise.

  • Will support the ATO and accreditation processes.

Clearance Required to be considered:

  • Current Top Secret.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Backend Developer, Full Stack Developer, or Java Developer

  • Developing, testing, and deploying back-end software using programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Go, and Python

  • Developing, testing, and deploying both client-side (frontend) and server-side (backend) software in languages like Java, Python, Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, and .NET

  • Expertise in using the latest versions of the Java Development Kit for Java software development

  • Designing and implementing system architecture with a focus on vulnerability assessment and mitigation strategies

  • Hands-on experience with backend frameworks like Java Spring, Node.js, Go Gin, NestJS, AngularJS, React, Next.js, Hibernate, Struts, and Google Web Toolkit

  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, including SAFe Agile methodologies

  • Strong knowledge of software design patterns, anti-patterns, and system design principles

  • Proficiency with development tools including Git, Nexus, SonarQube, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Ansible, and others

  • Extensive experience in frontend, backend, and API design

  • Proven leadership in guiding multiple teams through technical design and implementation phases

  • Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving technical, functional, and performance issues in cloud environments

  • Experience in planning, designing, and managing data migration processes

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline

Desired Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • Front-End: Skilled in JavaScript (ES6+), React, NextJS, Tailwind CSS, Material UI, and RESTful APIs; follows code quality and standardization practices.

  • Back-End: Experienced with NodeJS (Express, NextJS), Go, Java 8, SOAP services, Maven, and Gradle; emphasizes clean, maintainable code.

  • Tools & Testing: Proficient in Git, Jira, SAST tools (SonarQube, GitLab SAST), unit/integration testing (Jest, Mocha, Chai), and end-to-end testing (Selenium, Cucumber).

Pay Range:

Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
