What You’ll Do
As an Engineering Manager for the Gateway Security team, you will be instrumental in forming and scaling high-performing teams, offering dedicated support for individual growth and career progression. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams distributed globally, including Product Managers, Project Managers, Architects, and Engineers, to define project milestones and deliverables.
- Engage closely with the HR and Recruitment teams to attract, onboard, scale, and retain exceptional engineering talent.
- Have experience managing teams working at scale with on prem and/or cloud technologies
- Identify and mitigate technical risks associated with projects, ensuring smooth and reliable operation.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, ensuring effective communication and knowledge sharing.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging standards and best practices, to maintain high-quality software development.
- Monitor and analyze AWS usage, working with senior management and engineer teams to provide recommendations for cost savings.
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong communication skills with experience in effectively communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Successful track record of project leadership, including planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects with predictability.
- Strong technical background in software engineering, with hands-on experience in designing and developing backend services at scale within AWS.
- Experience in building and scaling high-performing engineering teams, including recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing talent development.
- Experience in establishing and enforcing coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes to maintain high-quality software development.
- Experience managing hybrid cloud environments is advantageous
