Responsibilities

Description

We are seeking an Identity & Access Management (IAM) Security Analyst to analyze, strengthen, and secure PowerSchool’s risk posture for Identity & Access Management. This role focuses on collaboration across PowerSchool to continuously improve our IAM practices. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of identity governance, authentication and authorization controls, and privileged access management, along with a proactive mindset for identifying and mitigating access-related risks. You will work closely with IT, security, compliance, and business teams to design and implement policies, processes, and technical controls that ensure the right individuals have the appropriate access to PowerSchool’s systems and data.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Establish and maintain a strong partnership with the IT and Cloud Operations teams.
• Engage business leaders for approvals to update new roles and procedures using “least privileged” access methodology.
• Help users understand and apply identity security concepts, processes, and technologies.
• Report security risks, issues, and key metrics to both business and security leadership.
• Work to ensure audit tasks related to Identity Management are completed, with the participation of appropriate partners and in line with corporate policies.
• Support and monitor access reviews for completion in specific areas.
• Maintain access documentation, audit documentation, and training materials for the GRC team.
• Maintain exceptions to IAM Standard according to governance processes.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• A strong understanding of user entitlement reviews, end to end provisioning processes and user lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of least privilege methodology, role-based access control, security regulations, support which includes ticket management, customer services, permissions and groups.
• Active Directory experience is a plus but not required.
• Relevant security certifications are a plus but not required.
