What you’ll do ​& Who you are

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to join our team. The CISO will be responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive information security strategies and processes to protect our company’s data and systems. This role will also encompass networking responsibilities, ensuring robust and secure communication infrastructures, and reports to the CTO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s information security strategy, policies, and procedures.

  • Lead efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate information security risks across the organization.

  • Collaborate with our Global Adevinta Cybersecurity Team and the Director of IT & Business Operations to align security initiatives with business objectives.

  • Oversee the design and management of secure network architectures, ensuring optimal performance and security.

  • Lead Incident response activities, including investigation, mitigation, and reporting.

  • Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing in collaboration with our Global Security Teams. Derive actions and present findings and actions to senior leadership.

  • Stay abreast of the latest security threats, trends, and technologies, and apply this knowledge to enhance the company’s security posture.

  • Lead and mentor a team of security professionals, fostering a culture of security awareness and compliance.

  • Ensure security education and training programs to employees at all levels in collaboration with our Global Security Teams.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and industry standards as well as certifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in information security management, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior security role.

  • Strong understanding of security in hyperscale environments (Google, Amazon).

  • Strong understanding of network architecture and security protocols.

  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
